Get Outta Your Head and Into Your Body!

Lemme tell ya….sometimes the thoughts can take over! Have you ever had your body somewhere, but your head was in another location? I mean….it is like we are not even there with ourselves! Maybe you were off in a far away land, wishing you were doing something else, or maybe you were reviewing a past conversation or scenario or fantasying about the future. Maybe you were just really disconnected from where you actually are because of all the thoughts in your head. This can lead us to feel unstable or out of balance. The fastest most easiest way to get out of our heads is to get into our bodies!

When the mind and body are together, we are integrated, present and more aware.

The practice of earthing, or grounding can keep us integrated. Bodily contact with the Earth’s natural electric charge can stabilize our physiology, reduce inflammation, pain, stress, energy and sleep, just to name a few! It also helps use feel connected and gives us a sense of home (our Earth).

According to studies in public health, grounding has been found to promote intriguing physiological changes and subjective reports of well-being.

I am a person who has a lot going on in my life so it is so easy to get in my head. I am so thankful for this simple practice where I can just touch the earth and come back home to her, and ultimately, come back to myself.

Tip: Take a breath. Put your feet on the ground, put your palms hands down on a table or on your lap, sit down or even lie down if you can. Feel the earth. If you can remove your shoes, even better. Get grounded, get stable and come back to yourself.
