SOUND MEDITATION - In this session, we will use sound as a tool to help children find their place of stillness. Children will be lying down on a mat or a blanket and the facilitator will use singing bowls and other instruments to create a relaxing frequency. Meditation can give children time to breathe and imagine, and lets them know that it is okay to have feelings. In fact, through meditation children learn that it is okay to be whoever they are and feel whatever they feel. Meditation strengthens self-acceptance, builds confidence, and enhances the feeling of empowerment.
