Second Sunday Sound

  • The Empower House Community Space North 18th Drive Phoenix, AZ, 85027 United States (map)

Join Us for a Sound Meditation the second Sunday of every month!

Breathe and meditate outdoors in the garden with the beautiful sounds of Tibetan singing bowls, running water, birds, and chimes while enjoying this beautiful community space!

Tibetan bowls have been used for centuries for healing and meditation. The range of sounds create a pulsating tone, which can restore vibratory frequencies at the cellular level and throughout our nervous system. All matter is energy vibrating at different rates. By altering the rate of vibration absorbed, we can change the structure of matter and therefore create harmony in both the body and the mind. Tibetan bowls can deliver a 7-8 Hertz per second relaxation response, entraining the brain toward a Theta brain wave state, which induces meditative and peaceful states by decreasing the  heart rate, blood pressure and muscle tension, thereby disrupting our stress response common to our modern world. All bowls used in this class are "fair trade" and hand hammered in Nepal.

  • We always welcome contributions of plants, soil, containers and other gardening supplies for the community garden and of course monetary donations are extremely appreciated. The community garden needs a good drip and water catchment system. Many more projects are in our future. All monetary contributions are 100% put toward this community space! Any contributions can be paid through the registration app, in person at the event or through Venmo - @Water-Shepherd
